
Training is an integral part of fall protection. Since no fall protection equipment, regardless of how effective, can save an employee who is not trained in its use. To meet this requirement, CITE, provides the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve a safer, more productive work environment for you and your employees.

- Falls account for one quarter of all serious injuries in the work place.
- Falls in the work place account for roughly 650 deaths per year.
- In construction falls are the leading cause of death resulting in more than 400 deaths per year in the United States alone.
- Over 30% of all construction related fatalities are due to a fall.
- Falls account for 15% of all Workers Compensation Expenses.
- 60 percent of all fall related accidents happen from a height of 10 feet or less.
- Workers between 25 to 34 years of age are most likely to be involved in a fall related accident.

CITE's Fall Protection Training is tailored to your company's specific site and hazards and comply with OSHA 1926.503 and OSHA 1910 Subpart D Training Requirements Including:
- Duty to have fall protection.
- Fall restraint systems. Fall arrest systems. Guard Rails.
- Inspection, storage and maintenance of all systems.
- Competent -vs- Qualified Person.
- Walking Working Surfaces.
- Proper ladder set up.
- Trigger heights and fall calculations
- Fall Protection Plans.
Training classes can be provided in Portland, Seattle, Oregon and Washgtion at your office, job site or through one of CITE's affiliated training locations. All equipment is provided but students are encourage to bring their own personal fall protection equipment.
